A fixed fortnightly cut all year round is the lazy way to run a commercial site — overgrown by Christmas, paying for air in July. We schedule around how Sydney grass actually grows.
Growing season
Roughly September to April, growth runs hot — cuts step up to weekly or fortnightly, heights come down where the site's use demands it, and weed-and-feed goes down coming into spring.

Commercial mowing questions, answered
What's the difference between commercial and residential mowing?
Mostly equipment and scale. Residential work runs on push or
self-propelled mowers; commercial sites need ride-on mowers, dedicated
edgers and backpack blowers to cover the ground efficiently — plus the
crew planning that goes with bigger, busier sites.
Do you catch and remove clippings?
Yes — our ride-ons catch clippings, which matters on sports fields and
playgrounds where the surface has to be ready for use straight after the
cut. All clippings leave with us, and the green waste is recycled.
Can you maintain sports fields?
Yes. Fields are cut to season-appropriate heights with clippings caught so
they're ready for play, and heavily used fields are aerated several times
a year — professional-level fields as often as fortnightly.
How do you handle safety on nature strips and roadsides?
Nature strips are riskier than they look. We section off the work area,
slow traffic to an appropriate speed, and remove clippings — protecting
the crew and passing drivers alike.
What if the grass is too long to mow?
That's a slashing job. A

grass — then regular mowing takes over and keeps it under control.
How does commercial mowing pricing work?

How often should commercial sites be mown?
Weekly to fortnightly through Sydney's growing season (roughly September
to April), stretching out over winter as growth slows. We set the schedule
seasonally so sites stay sharp without paying for cuts they don't need.
